What you can expect

Thinking about adopting a student? Here’s what that means for you.
Your student will expect regular contact from you, this might be a phone call, or a text, and the offer to meet up, hang out and become involved in family activities. There may be times when your student needs extra support from you.  We will help prepare you for this, and give you the resources to direct your student to the right help while being there to support them. As an organisation we will be there to support you too.

Your safety, and the safety of our students and volunteers are our top priority. So you will be asked to agree to a criminal conviction history check and undertake a short induction prior to being paired with a student.

We will try to match every student and whānau in consideration of their interests, values, cultural and religious needs. So you can expect a phone call from one of our volunteers to check some details with you, and when you first meet your adopted student one of our volunteers will be there to connect with you.
