Key updates

What a whirlwind 3 months this has been!  Its hard to believe that in July I reached out asking for change, a better way to support the wellbeing of our tertiary students while they navigated the challenges of study while living away from home.  New Zealanders responded in their hundreds and so the journey of establishing Adopt a Student began.  Since then there has been much matapaki (discussion) kōrero and mahi, and now Adopt a Student is just 1 month away from official launch.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week.  The theme this year is take time to kōrero - a little chat can go a long way.  “Small chats can create meaningful connections, help us understand each other better and ensure we have someone we can count on when times are tough”.  This is what I hope for our students, whanau, volunteers and our communities through Adopt a student.

See you again soon
