Our relationship with you

Adopt a Student is a not for profit Charitable Trust that has been set up to enhance the wellbeing and support of tertiary students living away from their usual family environment. Adopt a Student is not responsible for, and accepts no liability for the wellbeing of any student, whanau or volunteer that connects either directly or indirectly to Adopt a Student services. This includes but is not limited to physical, mental, financial or emotional wellbeing.

Nothing on this site or in this agreement constitutes an offer/ establishes a partnership or joint venture between any parties. Nor does it constitute authorization for any party to enter into a commitment for another party, except where expressly authorised by you or Adopt aStudent.

Acceptance of Terms

By using this site, you indicate that you accept and will abide by these terms of use and our Privacy Policy (together, the agreement), including any terms that we amend from time to time. If you do not agree to this agreement, then stop immediately from accessing this site.

Variations to this Agreement

We may amend the terms of this agreement at any time (effective immediately) by amending the contents of this agreement without notification. You are responsible for remaining updated with the latest terms, please visit this site regularly to ensure you remain familiar. If you do not agree with any part of this agreement you must refrain from using this site immediately. Our terms were last updated on the 1st October 2021.

New Zealand Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the parties submit to the nonexclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.We reserve the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of this agreement in your country of residence or any other relevant country.

Intellectual Property Rights

Adopt a Student (and our licensors) are the owners of all intellectual property on this site, including all materials published on other Adopt a Student platforms such as but not limited to social media platforms (ie Twitter, linked in, facebook, Instagram). All of these works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All rights are reserved. You may print off copies, download extracts and share information on this site for your own personal reference and for the attention of others within your organization if this material is solely for personal use and not commercial purposes. No material that is extracted from this site must be modified in any way.

All third-party material contained on this site is the copyright of individual contributors and is made available for personal use only. It may not be copied, modified or distributed without permission from the copyright owners concerned.
